Getting Started
Drifolio helps you create a "vehicle resume" — a clean, trusted record of your ownership, maintenance, upgrades, recall campaign reviews, ownership history, transfers, reminders, notifications, and membership features.
- Add your vehicle
- Upload photos
- Track maintenance, upgrades, repairs, service investment, and Next Due targets
- Share your profile publicly or privately
- Use the Notification Center to review important account, vehicle, maintenance, and recall campaign activity
- Use vehicle transfers to move a saved vehicle profile to another Drifolio account when appropriate
Uploading Vehicle Photos
Upload high-quality images to showcase your vehicle.
Recommended Uploads
- Exterior (front, rear, angles)
- Interior
- Wheels / tires
- Engine bay
- Modifications and upgrades
- Condition photos
Do Not Upload
- Nudity or offensive content
- Spam or unrelated images
- Stolen or copyrighted photos
- Personal IDs or sensitive documents
- Illegal content
Public vs Private Profiles
You control what is visible.
- Public Profile: Visible via shareable link
- Private Vault: Secure, controlled sharing (Premium/Pro)
- Hide Name Option: Keep identity private on public pages
Private data is never publicly exposed unless you choose to share it.
For Sale Listings
For-sale features are available to Premium and Pro members.
- Set asking price
- Show city/state (optional)
- Enable buyer contact through Drifolio
Free accounts do not include for-sale listing tools.
Vehicle Transfers
Vehicle transfers let a vehicle profile move from one Drifolio account to another while preserving the vehicle's Drifolio ownership history.
How Vehicle Transfers Work
- Open your garage or Vehicle Manager.
- Select the vehicle you want to transfer.
- Choose Transfer Vehicle.
- Enter the buyer or recipient email address.
- Send the transfer invitation.
- The recipient accepts the transfer from the email link or transfer page.
Important Transfer Notes
- Vehicle transfer links may expire or become unavailable after they are used.
- The recipient may need to create or sign in to a Drifolio account.
- The recipient email is used to help protect the transfer and match the intended buyer or recipient.
- Ownership history inside Drifolio remains attached to the vehicle profile.
- A Drifolio transfer does not transfer legal title, registration, insurance, payment, liens, taxes, or DMV paperwork.
Always complete any required legal ownership transfer steps outside of Drifolio.
Membership & Billing
Drifolio offers Free, Premium, and Pro plans.
- Free: 1 vehicle, limited photos, dashboard reminders, and limited push reminders when Drifolio is installed to a device
- Premium: More vehicles, private vault, for-sale tools, push reminders, and email maintenance reminders
- Pro: Highest limits, full feature access, higher push limits, and priority email maintenance reminders
Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled securely through Stripe.
Membership Changes and Downgrades
- Upgrades may unlock additional vehicles, records, documents, photos, private vault tools, sale tools, reminders, and notifications.
- If you downgrade, cancel, or a trial expires, content above your current plan limits may become hidden, read-only, or unavailable.
- Hidden vehicles, photos, documents, and records are not automatically deleted just because your plan changed.
- Upgrading or resubscribing can restore access to eligible stored content.
Trials and Promotions
Drifolio may offer referral rewards, transfer-related trials, or other promotions. Eligibility can vary and may be limited to one use per account, email, transfer, or other qualifying event.
Maintenance Reminders
Drifolio can help you plan future service by saving optional Next Due mileage or date targets on vehicle records.
- Add mileage-based, date-based, or combined service intervals.
- Drifolio can calculate the next due mileage and next due date when possible.
- Free members can view reminders in the vehicle dashboard and may enable limited push reminders on one installed device.
- Premium and Pro members can receive push reminders and automated maintenance reminder emails.
- Users can control notification categories, delivery method, and frequency from Account Settings.
Maintenance reminders are convenience notices only. Always follow your manufacturer guidance, inspection results, and professional service advice.
Recall Campaigns and NHTSA Verification
Drifolio may show recall campaign records for a vehicle when campaign information is available from public sources such as NHTSA. These records help you review possible safety campaigns and track which items you have reviewed, dismissed, or marked completed in Drifolio.
What Recall Campaigns Mean
- Campaigns: total recall campaign records Drifolio found for the vehicle's year, make, model, VIN, or available vehicle data.
- To Review: campaign records you have not dismissed or marked completed in Drifolio.
- Completed: campaign records you marked completed in Drifolio after reviewing repair status or dealer documentation.
- Dismissed: campaign records you chose to hide from the active review list.
Recall campaigns shown in Drifolio are items to review. They are not a guarantee that your exact VIN has an unrepaired recall. NHTSA VIN lookup results, manufacturer records, and dealer service records may differ from general campaign records.
Verify VIN-Specific Recall Status
- Use Copy VIN & Open NHTSA from a recall campaign card.
- If the NHTSA VIN field is blank, paste the copied VIN into the search field.
- Review the official NHTSA VIN result for unrepaired recall status.
- Contact the manufacturer or an authorized dealer if you are unsure whether a repair applies or has already been completed.
Important Recall Notes
- NHTSA VIN lookup may show zero unrepaired recalls even when Drifolio displays historical or general campaign records.
- Some repaired recalls may not appear as unrepaired in NHTSA VIN lookup.
- Recently announced recalls may change as manufacturers add VINs or update remedy information.
- Drifolio is not affiliated with or endorsed by NHTSA.
Always follow official recall notices, manufacturer guidance, and dealer instructions for safety-related repairs.
Notification Center
The Notification Center keeps important Drifolio activity in one place so you can review account, garage, transfer, membership, vault, marketplace, and maintenance updates.
Common Notification Types
- Maintenance reminders and Next Due alerts
- Recall campaign review alerts where available
- Vehicle transfer invitations, acceptance notices, and transfer status updates
- Membership, plan, trial, billing, and downgrade notices
- Private vault and document-related alerts for eligible plans
- For-sale, marketplace, and buyer-interest activity where available
- Security, account, and product update notices
You can mark notifications as read and manage notification categories from Account > Notifications.
Installing Drifolio as a Web App
Drifolio can be added to your phone home screen so it opens more like an app and gives faster access to your garage, records, vault, and uploads.
iPhone Safari
- Open drifolio.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
iPhone Chrome
- Tap the three dots near the address bar.
- Tap Share.
- Tap View More if needed.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Android Chrome
- Open drifolio.com in Chrome.
- Tap the Drifolio install banner or Chrome menu.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
After installation, Drifolio should open without the normal browser address bar when launched from the home screen.
Push Notifications
Push notifications let Drifolio send selected reminders and account notices to an installed web app on iPhone, Android, or desktop. Push notifications require device/browser permission and can be turned off at any time.
- Free: limited push reminders on one device, plus dashboard reminders.
- Premium: push reminders, email reminders, vault alerts, and marketplace alerts.
- Pro: higher push/device limits, priority alerts, and the most complete notification controls.
Supported Devices
- iPhone Safari when Drifolio is installed to the Home Screen and notifications are allowed
- Android Chrome when notifications are allowed
- Desktop Chrome, Edge, Safari, or other supported browsers
Common Push Notification Issues
- Notifications are disabled in the phone, browser, or operating system settings.
- The Drifolio web app was removed or not installed.
- The browser subscription expired and needs to be re-enabled.
- Battery-saving, focus, do-not-disturb, or network settings are blocking delivery.
Too Many Notifications?
Go to Account > Notifications to turn categories off, switch delivery methods, or reduce reminder frequency. You can also disable Drifolio notifications in your phone or browser settings.
Data Export
You can request a copy of your account data at any time.
- Includes vehicle details, records, reminder fields, and profile data
- Excludes sensitive internal system data for security
Account Deletion (GDPR)
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
How it works
- Type DELETE to confirm your request
- Your account enters a scheduled deletion period
- Your public profiles and listings are disabled immediately
- Your data, reminder settings, and applicable reminder logs are deleted or anonymized on the scheduled date
Paid Accounts
- Deletion is scheduled at the end of your billing cycle
- Your subscription is set to cancel at period end
- No prorated refunds unless required by law
Canceling a Deletion Request
- You may cancel before the scheduled deletion date
- Your account will remain active
- Public profiles and listings will not be automatically restored
Some limited data may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes.
What Happens When I Downgrade?
If you move from Pro or Premium to Free, Drifolio may hide or limit anything above the Free plan limits. This can include extra vehicles, photos, records, private vault documents, sale tools, reminders, and notification features.
- Extra vehicles and records remain stored unless you delete them or request account deletion.
- Hidden content is not shown publicly simply because your plan changed.
- Upgrading again can restore access to eligible stored content.
- Private vault and document tools are available only on eligible paid plans.
Security & Privacy
We take privacy seriously.
- Passwords and sensitive data are never exposed
- Full VINs are not publicly displayed on public profiles
- Recall campaign tools may use your VIN or vehicle details to help retrieve and organize public recall records
- Private data is protected and controlled by you
- Transfer links and buyer email locks help reduce accidental transfer access
- Push notification permissions can be turned off from your device or browser settings
Reporting Abuse
If you see spam, fraud, or inappropriate content, please report it.
